Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reality of the instructional practices of mathematics teachers which support mathematical conceptual understanding in the primary stage from the point of view of mathematics supervisors in Makkah Educational Region.

The study sample consisted of (53) educational supervisors.

To achieve the aim of the study, a valid questionnaire has been built.

It consisted of (20) items distributed in three main domains.

The findings of the study revealed that the level of Instructional practices of the mathematics teachers which support the mathematical conceptual understanding is medium in the all three domains ( introduction, presentation and evaluation).

Also, there is no statistical difference between the responses of the samples according to the variable of the educational directorate.

The researcher recommended to train the primary stage mathematics teachers on teaching strategies which support the mathematical conceptual understanding.
