Abstract EN

The research aimed to detect the proficiency level of female math teachers of teaching competencies that are necessary for developing mathematical problem solving skills of fourth elementary grade.

The research also aimed at detecting the difference in the proficiency level of the teachers regarding these competencies in the light of the following variables: scientific qualification, number of years of experience in teaching math, and the training courses associated with developing math and natural sciences project.

The descriptive research methodology was applied on a 27 math teachers for fourth elementary grade in Riyadh.

An observation card (which was validated for consistency) was prepared for gathering data.

Then data analysis was done by using arithmetic means, standard deviations and Mann Whitney test.
