The current study aimed to detect the prevalence of addiction to Facebook among university students and gender differences in the level of this addiction.

To achieve the objectives of the study, and depending on the descriptive method, the researcher designed a scale for Facebook addiction and distributed to 405 students from the University of Badji Mokhtar- AnnabaThe results of the study indicated that: *The number of students addicted to Facebook is 136, an estimated 31.9% of the total number of students.

There are statistically significant differences in addiction on Facebook due to the sex variable, and the differences were in favour of females
