Abstract EN
The school's work in the twenty-first century is not to teach the student knowledge but rather to think through thinking through the pursuit of metacognition in the educational learning process because of its great importance in improving the educational product.
Educational psychologists have long promoted the importance of metacognition for regulating and supporting student learning.
More recently, the Partnership for 21st Century Skills has identified self-directed learning as one of the life and career skills necessary to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce.
