The art of translation has flourished in the Arab Islamic history.

Over time, this art has dominated the art of historical writing.

Books have been extensively published, among them the book "Al-Qand in Samarkand," by Omar ibn Muhammad al-Nasafi (537AH/1142AD), in which he translated works by more than 1219 scholars_ leaders and governors, and narrators of the Prophet Muhammad's Hadeeth_ who belonged to the civilization of central Asia beyond the river from the seventh century to the twelfth century A.

D (first century AH to sixth century AH).

Al Nasafi used a varied style in his translation, narration and descriptions, and relied on a wide range of sources written or audio sources, and through his observations and visits to the scholars and publicists.

He followed a scholarly methodology in his documentation.
