Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the reality of Islamic banking work in Algeria and to identify the role of Islamic banks in financing national investment through a case study of Al Baraka and Al salem banks, by presenting a set of statistics related to the investment sector as well as the funding provided to it by the Algerian banking sector in both its traditional and Islamic aspects, The study concluded that despite the diversity and high volume of financing provided by Islamic banks to customers which institutions constitute the largest part of it but the percentage of their contribution in financing the investment remains weak and ineffective due to their small market share on the one hand, and their reliance on debt formulas more than the participation formulas on the other hand.
