Abstract EN

Dust phenomena (dust storms, rising dust, suspended dust) have become commonplace in Iraq, especially in recent decades.

These phenomena are caused by two main factors: climate change, which is a result of the lack of rain, the shrinking of green spaces, the rise in temperature, and the human activities caused by the "poor management of agricultural land, " as well as many areas have been affected by the wars that have lasted for many years.

These phenomena may attributed to local or regional reasons.

This study investigated the effect of climate changes on the dust phenomena in the Baghdad Station for the period 1983-2013.

It was found that the effect of change in the rise of temperature and wind, and the relative rain and humidity are decreasing.

The effect of increasing dust storms and suspended dust downwards.

The coefficient of correlation between these climatic factors and dust phenomena was calculated.

It was found that dust phenomena of all types are associated with a positive relationship with the wind, while the relation of dust phenomena with the rest of the elements may be either the oppressive and the reverse for the same climate element.
