Abstract EN

Any philosophical way or doctrine has within its content pedagogical thinking according to its philosophy about the human being's nature and destiny.

Although few of them who wrote an educational book, they all educators.

Descartes is the best example; he did not write a specific pedagogical book, but he presented to us a new pedagogical theory through his mental philosophy.

This thesis is a try to highlight his educational concepts and pedagogical method.

To achieve this aim, the thesis will discuss the following topics.

The first topic is about Descartes' criticism of the dominant educational way in his time.

The second topic is to analyse Descartes' main philosophical and pedagogical aim.

The third topic is a discussion about his philosophy in mental education.

The fourth topic is about the principles of his mental education philosophy.
