The present research aims at identifying the "impact of critical reading strategies on the development of literacy skills among middle secondary students in reading and texts" by answering the following question:Is there an impact of critical reading strategies in the development of reading skills among secondgrade students in the medium of reading and texts?To achieve the objective of the research, the following basic hypothesis should be tested:There was no statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the average scores of the students of the three research groups in the test of the development of the skill of post-reading comprehension.The researcher chose the experimental method which is precisely partial design of the research, and to achieve this, the researcher chose Fasdiya (Secondary Adnanieh) of the Directorate General of the province of Diyala / Center of Baquba district, the researcher chose three people from the second row of the medium, and distributed in a random drawing, The first group, the second experimental group, the other the control group, the sample of the research (82) students (27) students in the first experimental group and 27 students in the second experimental group and 28 students in the control group, STATISTICAL in the educational bag program spss, the research tool was tested in literacy skills (understanding, reading comprehension, speed, and Aldakkh literacy) the subject of my readers and one chosen from the Group of topics offered on a number of experts and the answer by reading the specific subject of the test (CRC) for the three research groups.The researcher formulated behavior goals of (89) behavioral goals in the initial formulation and after the presentation of a set of views of the arbitrators has been modified and deleted some of the goals as they reached the final (94) behavioral objectives within the classification of the first five (knowledge, understanding, The researcher presented the following results: - The results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental groups which studied the reading material and the texts of the review strategies and the summary and summarization on the Pat the control group in literacy skills (reading comprehension, speed literacy, health literacy.The researcher recommends several recommendations, including the following: - The need to care for the teaching of second-grade students using the average critical reading strategies (review and summarization and summarization), because of the positive results of this research using critical reading strategies in the teaching of reading and texts.In addition to the current research, the researcher suggests that a similar study should be carried out on another material of Arabic language such as expression and eloquence.
