This study aims to investigate the professional identity levels for Arabic language teachers in The Institute of Teaching Arabic language at Al Imam University, and to explore if there is any statistical significant differences in the professional identity level based on experience and educational qualification.
The researcher asked twenty-six teachers, selected randomly, to fill a questionnaire consists of thirty-five phrases.
The results revealed a high level of professional identity in the sample of the study.
Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences in the professional identity that can be attributed to the experience variable, nor to the educational qualification in the motives of learning and teaching.
While there were significant differences in the level of professional identity in the axis of professional growth and community partnership for the benefit of holders of a doctorate degree (PhD).
