The purpose of this research was to invesigate the relationship between the phonological structure of words and learning to read in Arabic as a second language.

The importance of this research is to explore methods and steps followed by reader in order to use it to overcome the difficulties faced by Arabic learner.

The research concluded that the learner of Arabic as a second language follows methods and steps to achieve automaticity.
