Abstract EN

This study sheds light on the concept of semantic displacement in terms of the aesthetic image and its distinction from one literary text to another and the basic criterion in terms of its emergence as an artistic style in the language of literary discourse.

The poetry in which there are frequent displacements and the aesthetic interpretation of coloring in the unconventional connotations of meanings in the natural discourse in terms of normative that were developed to reveal the emergence of semantic displacement as an aesthetic method influencing readers and listeners.

What we have come to the conclusion is that Habboui used semantic displacement more than syntactic displacement، perhaps due to the circumstances of his literary age، which was considered to be deviating from the familiar، and it also excels in displacing the first meanings of speech، which would appeal to the recipient of the poem.
