Abstract EN

Population displacement is considered one of the oldest mankind activities, there is not a single nation that didn't experience displacement and moving from one area to another, seeking help or getting away from an imminent danger, transferring their population characteristics to the new areas.

This study that took Dohuk with all its administrative units as amodel to study the geodemographic changes includes many problems because its one of the most dangerous human activities(as consequences and results) because it effects the personal situation and the situation of the community as whole whether in their original place or the new one.

This study took atime period that includes the duration between 2006-2019.

As the researcher depended on dividing this duration to 5 years to show the population variation of displaced people each year also to expose the effect of political and security situations in showing this variation whether it was increase or decreas in the number of displaced people The variation in the demographic characteristics of the displaced people, which considerd normal as it could occur at any population.
