Abstract EN

Our study came to shed light on the historical academic vision towards contemporary issues of conflict between Iraq and Turkey and analyzed it according to an academic perspective with a historical methodology outside the scope of the political vision for the period from 1923 to 2002 AD and through the vision of contemporary Iraqi historians and the choice of the academic historian Professor Ibrahim Khalil Al-Alaf as a model who wrote Many academic studies on Iraqi-Turkish relations during his administration and work at the (formerly) regional Turkish Studies Center (now) at the University of Mosul, along with many of his studies and views on issues of modern and contemporary history through the contemporary historical school to which he belongs.

The study was divided into three sections, in addition to an introduction and conclusion.

The first topic deals with: the biography of Professor Ibrahim Khalil Al-Allaf, his educational career and his methodology in historical writing and analysis of events according to the academic school to which he belongs.

While the second topic reviewed: a historical picture of Iraqi-Turkish relations since their inception on the international arena and the emergence of issues of disagreement between them.

As for the third topic: it focused on seeing Professor Ibrahim Khalil Al-Allaf's methodology towards the issues of the Iraqi-Turkish dispute, which are represented in three main issues: the Mosul issue and its implications, the Kurdish issue and points of disagreement and agreement, the water issue and the controversy over it.
