Abstract EN

Studing people growth is one of the most important demographic phenomenon to which scientists interested to predict people equipment for the future.

Babylon has been chosen to inspect the numerical distribution of people according to its administrative divisions environment Throughout the period 1957-2007 .

Besides, the etiology of people in crease has been analyzed .

variation between town country in crease of population the research found that the rate of population growth at the , the count level reached (3.4%) during the period (1957-1965) and then decreased slightly to Ankhvaza (3.2%) for the period (1965-1977) , it then rose to (4.2%) for the period (1977-1987) and is dus to the increase .

in birth rates in the province , and then fell to (2.7%) for the period (1987-1997) to com back again to the height where the total (3.4%) for the period (1997- 2007)which exceed the average of entine Iraj (3,0%).

Urban people is increasing from (29,5%) in 1957 to (36,4%) in 1965 , (50,1%) in 1977 , (51,2%) in 1987, (47,8%) in 1997 , (47%) in 2007 Rural people decrease from (70,5%)in 1957 to (53.1%) in 2007 .

The study excluded that the biggest average of growth for urban population in (1957- 1965) , (1965-1977) were (5.4%) , (5.9%) respectively while it overleaped in (1987-1997) to (1.9%) due to migration from town to country becowe of depleted economics duwing this period.
