Abstract EN

The present study aimed to find out the relationship between postpartum depression and marital adjustment.

And the study of differences in postpartum depression through some variables that have a direct relationship to marital adjustment, such as marital problems during pregnancy, the husband's support after childbirth, and the desire to conceive.

Therefore, we applied the marital adjustment scale and the postpartum depression scale to a sample of 143 women in Laghouat state.

And the results showed the existence of a negative significant relationship between postpartum depression and marital adjustment.

And the existence of differences in postpartum depression according to the variables of marital problems during pregnancy and the husband's support after childbirth.

The last hypothesis did not show that there are differences in postpartum depression, according to the mother's desire to become pregnant.
