In this article, the researcher aims to uncover an important aspect of social history, as required by the methodology of anthropological analysis in the Central Maghreb region during the late Islamic era.

Represented in the search for men's clothing and fashion in the central Maghreb in terms of function and life tradition, we rely in this article on the contents of the Maghreb historical and nawazil sources that express the most about the period between the eighth and ninth centuries AH (c.

14-15 AD).

And to analyze some examples of men's clothing in the Central Maghreb, and to identify the importance of clothing in the social tradition in general.

This initial approach to men's clothing confirms the great importance of the data provided by the sources on the male dress in the Central Maghreb, as the information gathered and analyzed allows the extraction of some of the material and symbolic features of the dress and its social uses through clothing-related practices for the male segment of society.
