The analysis of critical success factors of information technology (IT)‎ projects in Algeria : a comparative study of public and private sector

Abstract EN

According to literature revue, communication in the organization, management support, team competence, training of workers, user involvement, project planning, clear project goal, risk management, stakeholder involvement and leadership are key factors that have an impact on information technology (IT) projects.

The objective of this paper is to identify the critical success factors (CSF) that influence information technology projects in Algeria, to minimize and overcome projects failure.

To answer the research question, we relied on a survey to gather the necessary information related to our subject and then we applied the necessary statistical analysis.

Principal results show that despite the answer differences in both public and private sectors regarding budget, schedule and cost, there is always an association between Critical Success Factors and project success in Algeria.
