العلاقة السببية بين نظام التعليم العالي و اقتصاد المعرفة : دراسة حالة الجزائر

Abstract EN

This study dealt with an analysis of the reality of the higher education system in Algeria and its relationship to the knowledge economy, by highlighting the importance of human capital in building this economy, and by studying the relationship between these two latter based on the causality of Granger, it has been concluded that there is no relationship between higher education (the number of enrolled in universities Algerian) and knowledge economy during the period 2000-2015.

Based on these results, the Algerian state should focus on quality rather than quantity, as it should focus on technical scientific disciplines that are in line with the labor market and give great importance to scientific research.
