Abstract EN

This research reviews the methodology for measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for higher education institutions in the Arab world in general and in Algeria in particular, according to a set of sequential steps and using 23 performance indicators, divided into eight specific standards.

After presenting the measurement methodology, its steps and indicators; the research found that higher education institutions' interest in key performance indicators enhances the overall quality in their departments, educational processes and research production, and assists in qualifying them for institutional and academic accreditation, and raises their classification at the global level.

also, measuring these indicators contributes to knowing the level of tangible maturity that higher education institutions have reached in the field of quality assurance, and consistency with global practices, while giving space for higher education institutions for more creativity and excellence.
