Abstract EN

This research paper aims to study the effect of oil prices on the international market on the general level of prices in Algeria during the period 1980-2018, and due to the presence of many variables that are intertwined with each other, one cannot rely on a single equation to explain the intertwining of the various variables that are in most cases Indirect relations between the studied variables.

Therefore, we used a system of simultaneous equations to measure the impact of oil prices on the general level of prices in Algeria, in order to understand and monitor how the final impact of the change in oil prices is transmitted on the general level of prices in Algeria.

This study relied on the econometric approach by describing, formulating, estimating and evaluating the study model in order to prove and discuss the hypotheses of the study.
