There were manifestations of Bedouin in the poetry of the Islamic era, though these were not complicated, the existence of such aspect in poetry was evident since poetry is considered as an artistic reaction to human expression.

Thus, the Bedouin spirit was there and became dominant in the poetry of that era, especially in the poems of the old poets.

Their poems embody the Bedouin atmosphere in various prospects in and minute details such as the values of bravery and courage and clan fanaticism as well as the longing for the desert.

Their poetry also showed a rejection of the shackles which were widespread at that time represented by two aspects: the first was renovation and creation that were forced by the new Islamic tradition, and the second was imitation and adoption of the old tradition
