Abstract EN

This research aims to clarify the standard of informality in literary texts, because it is one of the seven text standards in textual linguistics.

A poetic text is selected which belongs to an Egyptian contemporary poet, Hashim Al-Rifaei, since it has been not studied before.

The study is highlighting the poetic technique in attracting the reader to the text using the title to achieve his goal.

Also, it focuses on how such titles increase or decrease the informative competency of the text, which represents the proportion of expected to unexpected to harmonize with the language.
