This research paper analyzes arguments of the argumentative discourse to discover the hypotheses controlling the discourse memory.

These arguments unfold the common ways of thinking and refer to the prominent ideologies in societies.

Argumentation represents the ideology of the society in one hand and a productive way of ideologies on the other.

This is done through diagnosing the placements and values and their role in forming discourse.

So, arguments between Al Buhtiri followers and Al Abi Tammam followers represented discourse of two contradicted trends, each has its own standards and cultural values.

The conflict between them was between two cultures: Al Buhtiri followers' transportive culture which represented the Arabian inheritance and Al Buhtiri followers' intellectual and philosophical culture which represented modernity.
