This research topic focuses on the impact of science on philosophy by the pragmatist philosopher John Dewey, where he took interest in science and its history by presenting it in many of his books on the history of the science of philosophy, as well as the emphasis on the development that occurred to it throughout history.

Through this he wanted to show his impact on philosophy and the change on many beliefs and concepts that prevailed in Greek philosophy and medieval philosophy, thus he wanted philosophy to move from research in metaphysical issues to world and human life issues
