Abstract EN

The present research aims to Academic Delay of Gratification and the level of cognitive conflict among university students, as well as to identify the significance of differences according to gender variable (male-female) and specialization (scientific-humanity), as well as the correlation between the two variables, and in order to verify that The researcher adopted the scale of postponing the academic satisfaction prepared by (Bambnote and Karabinik, 1998) and translated by (Ibrahim 2016), where the number of paragraphs in its final version (10) paragraphs, and adopted the scale of knowledge conflict prepared by (aesthetic 2014) as the number of paragraphs in its final (31) Paragraph, has been confirmed psychometric characteristics and the application of Two tools on a sample of (150) students were randomly selected stratified from four colleges at the University of Kufa, for the academic year 2018- : 2019 and the results of the research showed the following 1.

The research sample of the students of the university do not have the Academic Delay of Gratification, but their immediate gratification.

There are no statistically significant differences between (males and females) in Academic Delay of Gratification.

There are no statistically significant differences between specialization (scientific and humanity) in Academic Delay of Gratification.

The research sample of the university students do not have a Cognitive Conflict.

There are no statistically significant differences between (males and females) in the cognitive conflict.

There are no statistically significant differences between specialization (scientific and humanity) in the cognitive conflict.

The results of statistical analysis showed that there is no significant correlation between the two variables of the current research Academic Delay of Gratification and cognitive conflict according to the sample as a whole
