Abstract EN

Obesity has become a worldwide epidemic as far as the developed countries are concerned, as well as the majority of the developing countries, where the consequences are more serious due to the quality of care and the amputated healthy accommodation.

It represents a risk of social distinctions, a source of stigmatization and discrimination as well as a public health problem associated with various pathologies.

Many organizations have been alarmed as to undertake an immediate action aiming at hindering this epidemic via the elaboration of strategies for both fighting and prevention so as to stop its emergence.

This article aims at underlining the relationship between the sedentarity and the obesity development, and the strategies to prevent and fight it with physical activities.

Many points have been tackled such as the consequences and the effects of obesity, diagnostic and the importance of the physical activity in the accommodation of obesity as well as the main recommendations for the promotion of health.
