The feast of Akito is one of the most important feasts in Mesopotamia, and the ordinances were revolving around two essential points in the Babylonian beliefs the first: story of the creation Babylonian.
Which tells the story of the conflict between the ancient god led by (Tiam) and the young God led (Murdoch) the greatest God in Babylon either the second point concerning sacred marriage.
Introduction: The festivals were generally held in certain days of the year and were attended by the general Public, There is on doubt that the religious feasts in Iraq are only an extension of those decrees that were beginning since the early historical times, since ancient man appeared a constant conflict with nature, the reason for simulations to ensure its strength and survival.
The feast of Akitu is one of the most important feasts in Mesoptamia and the most sacred and goes back to the beginning of the period of production of food.
The ordinances were revolving around two essential points in the Babylonian beliefs the first story of the creation Babylonian, the second is the holy marriage.
