The non-governmental organizations are crucially important, as they are effective factors participating in the global governance working on diverse issues, of which is the environmental ones.

Therefore, the current research aims at highlighting the roles of the non-governmental organizations in regulating the global environmental policies to limit the serious violations transgressing the environment.

The statement of the problem from which the current study departs is the following: how do non-governmental organizations contribute to achieving global environmental governance? The findings yielded from this study revealed that non-governmental organizations do possess effective mechanisms that permit them to exercise power over the global environmental governance system; On the other hand, these non-organizations are faced with many challenges limiting their activities and impeding them from performing their role fittingly.
