This article seeks to trace the early beginnings of the literary approach to the Quranic text in the modern era, as it was understood, devised and practiced by Sheikh Amin al-Khouli.

Within his deep preoccupation with questions of renewal and revitalization of Islamic religious thought, this thought whose creativity and vitality were transformed in early eras, stagnant and repeated in later eras, in this article we have defined the concept of the literary approach and its position within the dynamic path of Islamic interpretive thought, then clarify references Al-Khouli in adopting this approach, then we presented and analyzed al-Khouli's plan in interpretation, then we passed to highlight the influence of Sheikh Amin al-Khouli in the modernist readings of the Quranic text.
