Abstract EN

The current study sought to uncover internet addiction among a sample of school students in some middle and secondary schools in the city of Ouargla, and the extent of its spread among them according to the different educational stage (middle, secondary).

The data were processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS 17.

0), and the basic study sample consisted of (112) male and female students who were deliberately chosen from among the students studying some of the middle and secondary schools of Ouargla.

Descriptive method was used.

The results of the statistical treatment of the study data showed that the prevalence of internet addiction among pupils reached (38.

4%), and the study also concluded that there are substantial differences between schooled students in the prevalence of internet use addiction among a sample of schooled students due to the school stage variable (middle, secondary ).
