Abstract EN

This study deals with the Roman economic exploitation in North Africa.

It focuses on a set of axes that address the problematic which is related to the agricultural activity and its manifestations whereby a light is shed to Moroccan agricultural activity during the Roman period, presented in the spread of pastoral style in Roman Morocco, the Roman peasant policy in Maghreb's countries, and the Roman colonies' role in the prosperity of agricultural economy.

As well, it highlights the development of transport between Rome and North Africa; and the most important agricultural legislation that made North Africa a strategic supplier of wheat, and how this reflects on social life in Rome.
