Abstract EN

Through this research, we aim to address a study on the image in terms of its pragmatic aspect, by analyzing it and comparing its pragmatic effect between what was mentioned in the old rhetorical studies, and what the modernists in recent studies of rhetoric have dealt with within what has been called: the new rhetoric, since the image has become a new modern discourse that occupies a large space within the new rhetoric, as rhetoric is no longer confined to the narrow concept which old scholars claimed to be so; It has rather expanded to include non-linguistic forms.

These patterns imposed by the developments witnessed by man in various fields of life, so he was prompted by the need to employ them in many aspects that he can benefit from.
