Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of the environmental awareness from the student’s perspective of university center of nour el bachir el bayedh and its relation with gender and specialization variables.

and to achieve the objectives of the study we used the scale prepared by (Nadia Mohammed Saqqar) is composed of (44) items.

it was selected using the sample random method, with (100) male and female students.

the results of the study showed that: -the level of the students’ environmental awareness was high.

-lack of statistical significant differences at the level of significance (α= 0.05) on the level of the environmental awareness attributed to the gender and specialization variable.

-absence of the university's role in the spreading environmental awareness, and develop a sense of collective responsibility in caring for the environment.

in light of the results, the researcher has proposed a set of recommendations which will contribute to spreading and promoting environmental awareness among all the features of the Algerian university.
