And if Algeria worked to teach popular literature with different names since independence in universities, this did not intercede for him to know independence and prominence, because it was always wrapped in a kind of ambiguity by the official bodies, which contributed to the continuity of the inferior view and the students' aversion to studying and interest in it.

in this article, we will try to address the reality of teaching folk literature at the Algerian university since independence, the nature of the programs set up for it in the departments of Arabic literature, what are the gaps and lapses that further excluded it, and what the guardianship should strive to improve its image and bring the distance between it and students.
