This study aimed to measure the effect of using the encounter concentrated strategy on developing the writing skills of Arabic as a second language learners.
The study followed the semi-experimental approach (an experimental group, and a control group) studying in level two at the institute of Teaching Arabic in Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University.
The study tools consisted of: a test, a questionnaire, in addition to prescribed writing lessons that the researcher dealt with according to the encounter concentrated strategy.
The study used a set of statistical equations to set & control the tools.
The results revealed statistically significant differences in the post-test between the average scores of Arabic second language learners at the second level in the experimental group and the control group in writing skills, writing skills in favor of the experimental group.
Hence, it can be said that the encounter concentrated strategy has achieved a high degree of effectiveness in developing written expression skills.
The study concluded with the recommendation of adopting the encounter concentrated strategy as one of the effective strategies in teaching Arabic as a second language for its ability to employ individual and group learning methods, active learning, and educational tasks, and its adoption of employing linguistic income in teaching language skills, taking into account the linguistic and educational staging, and using it in developing writing skills at two levels: written skilland written expression, and benefiting from the classification of the (12) objectives of language teaching as defined by the encounter concentrated Strategy in the programs of teaching Arabic as a second language, and in the precise definition of the objectives of each level and every lesson, and the use of this strategy in building the Arabic language curricula as a second language for general and special purposes
