Abstract EN
This study focus on the biography of one of the Crusaders' princes of the military, namely (Reynald de Chatillon) (D.
583 AH 1187 CE), known in the Arab and Islamic historical sources as (Arnat), through historical knowledge, for the Latin Oriental historian, William of Tire-William of Tire (D.
580 AH / 1184 AD), highlighting the most important political and military aspects in the life of that Crusader prince during the early stage of his life (548-555 AH / 1153-1160 AD), who was famous for the cruelty and breaking of principles and laws of war, during battles, and lack of commitment to the agreements and covenants between the warring parties in times of peace.
All of this will stand on him first through the Crusader vision of Reynald de Chatillon, according to the novel by William the Pictorial who represented the Christian viewpoint, yet his views are not correct when he records and narrates the news of De Châtillon, although the latter dies after William the Pictorial, one year and the William of Tire did not witness his death at the hands of Sultan Salah al-Din al- Ayyubi, but he lived a long period of his political and military life and wrote a lot of information about him in his book (The History of the Completed Works Beyond the Sea) or as he is known as (The History of the Crusades).
The boundaries of this study are the contemporary era of William the Pictorial to Reynald De Chatillon until his death in the year 580 AH / 1184 A.D.
And the spatial boundaries, they are centered specifically in the Levant, where its cities were the center of the political and military conflict between the Ayyubids and the Crusaders, in addition to that Reynald de Chatillon, that ruled both Antioch and Karak between in two different periods.
The study consists of an introduction and a conclusion, as well as two other sections as follows: The first part: Introducing Pulim Al-Suri and a summary of his book (History of work done beyond the sea).
The second part : William Al-Suri dating for Renault de Chatillon-the stage of growing and families (548-555 AH / 1153-1160 AD).
