Usually the process of entering into a contract is preceded by a preliminary stage in which the parties enter into negotiations in order to pave the way for concluding the final contract, where at this point they are initially bound by a temporary bond specifying the essential elements of the final contract to be concluded, so that one or both will ensure that the opportunity is not lost from him.

This stage could be in the form of a promise of contracting either binding one side or the two sides, under which one or both parties shall commit to the other to fullfil the promised contract when the promised person shows his desire during the agreed period.
