Abstract EN

The global health crisis caused by the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus in Algeria has affected contractual obligations; especially those stemming from labor contracts whose implementation became impossible in light of the regulations issued by the government which obliged public and private economic institutions to place 50% of their workers on an exceptional vacation under partial and total quarantine procedures.

As this condition has negatively affected the financial situation of public and private economic institutions, which led them to not renew work contracts of limited duration and / or end unrelated work relations individually.

This created legal crises in extending the legality of the economic and disciplinary layoffs occurred during this period, and also the problem of the appropriate application of the law to disputes that will arise after the health crisis has passed.
