Arab literature generally and poetry in specific has witnessed upscale revolution since the past.

it’s the heritage of this nation whom Allah almighty talked to it through the holy Quran.

this is an indication of the eloquence and rhetoric of this nation.

however, the Arabian poet has relied in writing his poem on the surrounding environment of desert and nature through which he was inspired.

if the artiest is drawing his paint using colors, the poem draws his vision using idioms and meanings.

thus, the expression “poetic imagery” emerged, poetic imagery is relying on set of indicative images such like metaphor that represent one of its’ pillars.

therefore, we’d ask the following question: how did past ctitics regard the poetic imagery? and how metaphor has contributed in shaping it?.
