Abstract EN

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in the final quarter of 2019.

It has left, and continues to leave, a remarkable impact on all countries across the world, heavily affecting several sectors, including the health and the economic sectors.

The psychosocial impact of undergoing quarantine, and global-wide lockdowns to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus have not been seen before, given that it has not been witnessed before by the previous generations, let alone the current generation.

Such impact on individuals’ physical and mental wellbeing needs to be further evaluated with studies, to properly devise appropriate strategies to counter those effects using up to date, evidence based scientific information.

Perhaps studying the different modalities adopted by humanity, whether on an individual or a global level, can help us acknowledge the similarities amongst us when facing an unknown danger while being under prepared despite our differences in culture, ethnicity, race, and socioeconomic status.

This study will examine the psychosocial impact of those modalities implemented by countries of the GC
