This research deals with one of the issues of the origins of the Arabic grammar, which the grammatists inferred in many issues, which is the issue of «appreciation» This research seeks to clarify the concept of appreciation, and the difference of scholars in the origins of grammar in its definition, authenticity, and inference in Arabic grammar from the time of the Al-Farahidi era (175 AH) until the present day, and shows the difference of grammarians in taking it, or returning it.

In addition to the foregoing, the research reveals an important aspect of the relationship of influence and influence among the principles of grammar and jurisprudence, by explaining the relationship between grammatical appreciation and juristic appreciation, and explaining the difference between them.
