Abstract EN

This study explores the rhetoric of visual images in the anthology of Aghareed wa Anasheed Lil Bara’ah , by Ibrahim Abu Talib, based on the new rhetoric perception and its modern methodology.

It intends to provide a comprehensive idea about the aesthetics of visual representation and its pragmatic purposes in the anthology.

This idea - from which the research derives its significance - came from work experience and critical reading of childhood nature, as the children at this stage, cannot comprehend the poetic texts due to their significant length or the difficulty to be understood.

However, they are not aware of its effectiveness and do not understand its meaning unless it is supported by sensory effects that induce their vision.

The study was divided into two sections: the first section deals with eliciting imagination and creating fantasies through visual images, and the other responds to the pragmatic impact of visual images and their persuasive power.

The study concludes that the rhetoric of the visual image lies in its ability to diagnose and humanize objects, show the persuasive characteristics contained in the songs, and elicit the elements of surprise and astonishment in relation to imagination, communication and implicit values
