Abstract EN

The topic of this research is (argumentation in Egyptian theatrical discourse: the play “Lu'bat Almaut” as an Example).

Through analyzing the techniques of argumentation in the theatrical discourse of 'Tawfiq Al-khatib' in his play: “Lu'bat Almaut”, we can conclude that he has had an important role in building the argumentation of the theatrical discourse, and it was evident that he used these techniques, especially: argumentation conjunctions and argumentation factors, which are the two types frequently used in theatrical discourse, in order to achieve a link between the discourse and reality and, consequently, approximate the intended concept and to facilitate the process of influencing and persuading the recipient through the mechanisms of argumentation used, represented in the arguments establishing the structure of reality.

Also, we note the ence of dissociative modalities; Because the writer's purpose of theatrical discourse is to achieve interconnectedness and communication, not separation.
