Translation criticism is of great importance in sifting literary works translated into Arabic in order to determine whether they are acceptable or not.

This research aims to present one of the most important approaches for translation criticism, and this approach is detailed in the book of the German scholar Katharina Reiss entitled: Translation Criticism-Potentials and Limitations.
