Abstract EN

This article aims to follow the demographic changes in the TADLA region which have greatly contributed to the transformation of many rural communities (Douars) into urban centers which should form the nucleus of future cities.

This study concluded that these centers have experienced regular population growth since the second half of the 20th century because of the rural migratory currents which move towards them after the protection authorities have worked to change the traditional production model into a production of Capitalist model through the integration of modern watering and marketing cultures, on the other hand.

On the other hand, the Moroccan companion deteriorated during this period.

It should be noted that the modern demographic characteristics (demographic transition) which characterize these centers are linked to socio-economic transformations.

All of this indicates that they are moving towards urbanization, so they were involved in an urban transition and began to move from a purely agricultural field to semi-urban centers
