Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that motivate mathematics teachers in Kuwait to participate in online professional development.

The participants are (1800) mathematics teachers from all levels of schools (elementary, middle, high).

The study is descriptive, and the researchers use a questionnaire as the tool of the study.

The study results are the following: 1) participants are agree that the convenience of (time and place) motivate mathematics teachers in Kuwait to participate in online professional development, 2) the participants are agree that cooperation with others motivate mathematics teachers in Kuwait to participate in online professional development, 3) the participants agreements vary from moderate to a high level that technology motivate mathematics teachers in Kuwait to participate in online professional development, 4) ) There are no statistically significant differences between the participants in their responses about how much the influence of convenient (time and place), collaborate with others, and technology in motivating mathematics teachers in Kuwait to participate in online professional development in terms of (teaching experience – educational stage – school district).
