Qais Nasir RahaiDepartment of Political Studies-Basrah and Arab Gulf Studies Center- University of BasrahThe basic aim of this study is to understand of cultural diversity in Iraq, according to the variables that rethink a State building; because the questions of new variables have no answers in the old understanding, especially, those related to cultural identity in a multicultural society as Iraqi Society.

The most prominent events in Iraq in the twenty-first century: the events of 2003, and the events of 2014, and post ISIS.

The first event is linked to change and the end of the totalitarian regime in Iraq, the second event is linked to ISIS, the third event is the end of the second event(after ISIS).

The methodology in the study was descriptive and analytical.

The main results of the study, which includes emphasis on the importance of the study of the Iraqi State as a multicultural state, there is an opportunity to rebuild the citizen post-war By recognition that refers to a multicultural state in Iraq.
