Abstract EN

It is one of the most prominent political, social and psychological tools used by society to discuss issues, crises and societal phenomena.

The present research seeks to identify some of the psychological and social implications of the problem.

To achieve this goal, the researcher followed the descriptive method by constructing a questionnaire consisting of (15) paragraphs measuring the social significance of the sample in a sample of 200 persons.

After checking the cykometric characteristics Of the research tool and its application to the sample, the research leads to the existence of some psychological and social implications of popular jokes, and the research came out with a set of recommendations: 1-The need to shed light on the popular literature with the problems of the other, such as puzzles, gossip and jokes, being a rich literature that has not received much attention.2-Providing references and ancient sources that deal with Iraqi literature in particular, Arab and global in general in public libraries so that everyone can benefit from them3-Conducting more research on popular literature and linking it to some social aspects
