The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral counseling program to develop the trend towards environmental awareness among secondary school students in Al-Mahwah Governorate.

Intentionally, it was divided into two control and experimental groups, and the researcher used a questionnaire to measure the trend towards environmental awareness by (the researcher), The application of the indicative program to develop the trend towards environmental awareness, and the study reached the following results: The presence of a clear impact of the indicative program of the independent variable on the dependent variable (the average score of female students on the scale of the trend towards environmental awareness on female students of the experimental group where the coefficient of impact size (0.92), the presence of differences Statistically significant at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the pre and post mean measurements of the experimental group in the degree of tendency towards environmental awareness among high school students in favor of the post-measurement of the experimental group students, where its values reached (15.14), There are statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the two measures of the two dimensions of the two experimental and control groups in the degree of tendency towards environmental awareness among secondary school students in favor of the post-measurement for the students of the experimental group, and the calculated value of (16.38) came, no differences Statistical significance at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the two dimensions of the two dimensional measurements: (immediate and postponed) of the experimental group in the degree of tendency towards environmental awareness among high school students, where the value of T (1.10) is a significant value at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05), There are statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean of the tracer measurement for the two experimental and control groups for the development of the trend towards environmental awareness among secondary school students in favor of the traceability of the students of the experimental group, where the value of T (9.1), and based on the results of the study The researcher recommended the necessity of working to develop the trend of female students at the secondary stage, and to work on developing their psychological and behavioral abilities in order to achieve various positive aspects of environmental awareness for them.
